June 2012 - Our first painting group

In June, famous Devon artist Robin Thomas brought along one of his painting classes. They stayed for several nights, painting different parts of beautiful Boscastle scenery each day. They really enjoyed the fact that everything was on their doorstep and they didn't need to travel anywhere - great scenery, great food and a superb hotel altogether!

The Jubilee

The bunting was out in Boscastle for the Jubilee and our "Roast Pork Bap with home-made chutney" stall raised over £200 for the Jubilee Trust.

The Waterloo Restaurant Re-opens in March 2012

A great opening party with local celebrities, many of those who worked on the project and representatives from the Cornwall Tourism Industry. The official opening was performed by Mr Underwood, one of our guests who has been staying at The Wellington for over 30 years!

January - The Turret refurbishment starts

4th January 2012 and the work on the Turret and the Dining Room begins.
